Empire State Development announced an $8.1 million award through the FAST NY Shovel Ready Grant Program to the Oswego County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to advance key infrastructure upgrades at the L. Michael Treadwell Oswego County Industrial Park in the Town of Schroeppel. The FAST NY funds will be used to construct a new electrical substation to serve the industrial park, along with new power, gas, and telecommunications infrastructure. The project will also expand the park’s entrance to accommodate hundreds of additional vehicle trips per day, improving access for current and future tenants.
"Our region is preparing for a significant growth curve in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. This investment through FAST NY will help ensure that Oswego County benefits from that progress,” said Ben Sio, acting president of CenterState CEO. “With a new electrical substation, improved site infrastructure, and an expanded entrance, the L. Michael Treadwell Oswego County Industrial Park will be ready to welcome these new and growing regional employers."
