The cost and availability of childcare creates challenges for both individuals and employers seeking to retain valuable employees. Speakers provide an overview of childcare financial assistance available to Onondaga County residents, including assitance for families with a household income up to 275% Federal Poverty Level (note: the eligibility level goes up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level on Aug. 1, 2022). The assistance covers most (and sometimes all) of the cost of care. As an employer, learn how you can help current and prospective employees access this benefit, and help more individuals get the care they need while contributing to your organization’s workforce.
Speakers:
Sarah G. Merrick, Commissioner, Onondaga County Department of Social Services – Economic Security
Lori A. Schakow, Executive Director, Child Care Solutions
