Entrepreneurs in the tech industry will find the tools and resources they need to accelerate and grow in Syracuse, NY. The Syracuse Surge Accelerator program provides direct resources and support for Black-Indigenous-Persons of Color (BIPOC) entrepreneurs from around the country, who want to launch and accelerate tech-related and tech-adjacent startups.

“Syracuse is becoming a leading tech hub and we want applicants from in and outside of the
region to come here and be a part of our growth,” said Dr. Emad Rahim, Syracuse Surge
Entrepreneurship Manager at CenterState CEO. “Our vision is to have these innovators
participate in this yearlong program and then stay, grow, and hire within Syracuse because they
have found the resources and community, they need to thrive.”

The Syracuse Surge Accelerator Program seeks to address the lack of diversity in the
technology industry and aims to strengthen a city-wide collaborative effort to make Syracuse
America’s Smartest City. The program will empower BIPOC entrepreneurs to launch and
accelerate new or existing tech-related startups within the city of Syracuse. The program is
operated by CenterState CEO at its Tech Garden incubator, in Syracuse, NY.

Applicants are encouraged to submit an electronic application by May 31, 2023 that can be
found in this link: https://www.thetechgarden.com/syracuse-surge-accelerator.html
