City of Syracuse residents are needed for The Syracuse Surge training programs: Electrical Mechanical Technician (ELM) and Surge Advanced Manufacturing. The deadline to register is Apr. 5. Classes start Apr. 10 and last four or three weeks, respectively. The City of Syracuse, CenterState CEO, SUNY EOC, OCM BOCES and Onondaga Community College (OCC) are aligned with local employers to prepare a tech enabled workforce with advanced manufacturing skills via the use of automation technology to improve products and/or processes. Participants in the ELM training will receive free childcare at OCC, in addition to earning SUNY credits that can be used at OCC. Register now.
