Syracuse, N.Y. — Five Central New York companies received CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity's Business of the Year awards Thursday during the business leadership organization's annual meeting.Sutherland Global Services, a provider of business process and technology management services for large corporations, received the award in the category for companies with more than 50 employees. Rochester-based Sutherland employs 928 people in the Galleries of Syracuse office building and recently announced plans to create 200 more jobs there
