AmeriCU Credit Union Expands Chief Leadership Team

ROME, NY – FEBRUARY 01:  AmeriCU Credit Union proudly announces the addition of three accomplished professionals to its Chief Leadership Team. Demonstrating a commitment to a culture of leadership development, AmeriCU promoted two internal candidates Jason Lewin as Chief Information Officer and Stephanie McGuire as Chief Lending Officer. Joining the credit union’s team is Steve Ramirez as Chief Marketing Officer.

Keeping its vision and mission at the forefront the credit union continuously evolves forward. AmeriCU’s Chief Leadership Team provides direction and focus to the credit union’s strategic plan. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to enhance the credit union’s strategy.

Lewin brings with him over eighteen years of experience and knowledge in Information Technology. Joining AmeriCU in 2015 as a Systems Admin II, he has since held various roles – Manager of Member Technology Infrastructure, AVP of Member Technology Operations, and VP of Member Technology Services. Lewin will play a pivotal role in advancing the credit union’s technological infrastructure, ensuring security, and driving digital transformation strategies. AmeriCU looks forward to leveraging Lewin’s expertise to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and deliver innovative solutions to their valued members. In addition to his wealth of experience, Lewin is actively involved in the community, demonstrating a strong commitment to social responsibility. Through his engagement in Vernon Fire Department, Coliseum Soccer Club, and BSA VVS Pack 25, he has made a positive impact beyond the credit union. Lewin attended Utica University and earned a Master of Business Administration in Economic Crime and Fraud Management. He shares a passion for advancing the credit union movement and developing the next generation of leaders in the industry.

McGuire has become a knowledgeable expert in the credit union industry with a remarkable career spanning thirty-seven years in diverse aspects of lending, complemented by twenty years of regional branch administration. Prior to her promotion McGuire was AmeriCU’s Senior Vice President of Lending. As an active member of the CUNA Lending Council and the American Mortgage Association, she has played a crucial role in shaping lending strategies and solutions. AmeriCU is looking forward to McGuire’s dedication to fostering growth and diversification in lending and financial services to benefit members and the communities the credit union serves. Holding a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nazareth College of Rochester, she brings a solid academic foundation to her extensive background and leadership experience. Beyond the credit union, McGuire is deeply committed to community involvement, contributing as a Board Member for the United Way of Jefferson County, the Watertown Local Development Corporation where she served as President and Board member, and the Greater Watertown Chamber of Commerce. McGuire is a dedicated community leader, making a positive impact in New York and beyond.

As a Digital Marketing Executive, Ramirez spent twenty years leading teams and delivering results for high-performing organizations. With over thirty years in the financial industry, he has a proven track record of developing and executing strategic visions to drive membership, revenue, and digital innovation for Fortune 500 companies, such as USAA, Discover, KeyBank, and First Citizens Bank. Ramirez brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in executive leadership, online marketing, content marketing, website management, member experience, personalization, conversion optimization, and SEO. Joining AmeriCU in January he is intrigued by the strategic direction of AmeriCU’s focus on its digital-first approach with a personalized touch to financial services. Ramirez is excited to contribute to the credit union’s development, support local community initiatives, and help improve the overall economic wellbeing of its members. He is passionate about leveraging data, analytics, and technology to create engaging and relevant digital experiences for current members and potential members. AmeriCU looks forward to Ramirez helping the credit union grow their digital presence, reach, and impact while enhancing their brand. Ramirez attended University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and a Master of Business Administration in marketing and management. He also spent eight years in the Texas Army National Guard.

“AmeriCU is proud to be led by our Chief Leadership Team who give their time and talents to support the credit union, our members, and our local community,” said Ron Belle, President and CEO of AmeriCU. “It is a privilege to work alongside each of them. With their expertise, we will further enhance the member experience and provide tools for their financial success. I am excited about what the future holds.”

The AmeriCU team looks forward to deepening meaningful connections with members and the communities they serve. The credit union’s experienced team of professionals are dedicated to helping individuals, businesses, and communities achieve their financial goals to live life, dream big, achieve financial success.
