Community Quilters Market at Towne Center at Fayetteville to Support Hurricane Relief EffortsPosted on December 5, 2024 |

Fayetteville, NY – COR Development is proud to support a heartfelt initiative this holiday
season. A unique shopping event, the Community Quilters Market, will be held in the
Fayetteville Towne Center Atrium on December 6‐7, 2024, to raise funds for World Central
Kitchen and aid hurricane victims in North Carolina and Tennessee.
The event was inspired by a radio story about musicians who came together to raise funds for
hurricane relief. Local quilt shop owner, Janet Lutz of Calico Gals in Syracuse, was moved to do
the same in her community. Lutz is collaborating with fellow artisans from Pick Your Stitch in
East Syracuse and Finger Lakes Fabrics in Skaneateles to create a one‐of‐a‐kind holiday market
featuring handmade quilts and quilted items.
“I thought if talented musicians can do it, so can talented quilters and sewists. We are using our
craft to give back in a meaningful way.” said Janet Lutz, Owner of Calico Gals
"COR Development is proud to partner with local artisans and businesses to host the Community
Quilters Market at Fayetteville Towne Center, supporting a cause that makes a meaningful
difference. We are honored to provide a space for the community to come together this holiday
season and contribute to hurricane relief efforts." said Merissa Lynch, Marketing Manager of
COR Development
COR Development has generously provided the event space in the Fayetteville Towne Center
Atrium to host the market. All proceeds from the sale of handmade quilts and quilted goods will
benefit World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization providing meals to communities
impacted by disasters.
The Community Quilters Market offers a perfect opportunity for holiday shoppers to purchase
thoughtful, one‐of‐a‐kind gifts. Quilts, which are both practical and beautiful, make treasured
presents, and shoppers will find a wide range of sizes, colors, and designs.
