Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo to Host Annual Brew at the Zoo EventPosted on June 21, 2024 |
The Friends of the Zoo have announced that they will again host the annual Brew at the Zoo event on Friday, August 2. This unique, after-hours event runs from 5:30-8 pm and will feature dozens of food trucks and beverage stations throughout the zoo grounds, where guests may sample a variety of beers, wines and seltzers. This year’s event will include the added attraction of the eleven animatronic dragons set up around the zoo.
“Brew is our biggest event of the year, and we’re always looking for fresh ways to make the event something special,” Friends Executive Director Carrie Large said. “We are so excited to provide this year’s Brew at the Zoo participants with these breathtaking dragons, giving them an unparalleled viewing experience as they walk the Wildlife Trail and sample the various beers – all of which supports our animals and our commitment to conservation!”
Brew at the Zoo is a ticketed event that, beyond beer tasting opportunities, will feature live entertainment, exhibitors, a range of food options, and a unique chance to see the animals after normal viewing hours. This year’s live performers include the band Hold the Air, which will set up near the Penguin Coast exhibit, as well as singer-songwriter Dennis Veator, who will perform near the Amur tiger exhibit.
Advance tickets for the event are on sale on the zoo’s website now! Guests can purchase general admission or VIP tickets. Members will enjoy a discount at purchase, and all ticket-buyers have the option to also purchase a designated driver ticket and reserved parking. As the zoo’s most popular event, tickets for Brew sell quickly, so the zoo encourages those interested to buy tickets as soon as possible before they sell out.
