October 3—Syracuse, NY: The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) is expanding its popular EEK = MC2 Halloween Weekends to 5 weekend days this October:
- Saturday and Sunday, October 11th & 12th
- Sunday, October 19th—sensory friendly
- Saturday and Sunday, October 25th & 26th
This year’s events are sponsored by the Technology Alliance of Central New York, and the theme is “science, sea monsters, and sweet treats!” Visitors can make spooky science crafts, visit treat stations throughout the museum, check out the creepy chemistry demonstrations and more. There is a special 2:30 showing of the 2021 Pixar movie Luca in the National Grid ExploraDome theatre on the 11th, 12th, 25th, and 26th.
All activities except for the showing of Luca are included with MOST admission. Tickets to Luca and the other daily shows—Mission: Moon planetarium show, Call of the Dolphins, and The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness—are $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers. Visitors are encouraged to wear their favorite costume to the museum to make it extra fun!
Daily EEK = MC2 activities
- Creepy Chemistry demonstrations at 10am and 2pm
- Creepy Chemistry sensory station
- Treat giveaways in the Science Shop, Concessions, and Rothschild Apothecary Shop
- Make Lollipop Ghosts at the Concessions stand
- Make DIY Spiderwebs at the MAKE table
- Create a Cauldron Catapult in the STEAM Cafe
- Have fun with Spooky Shadow Play in Phase 1
- Get a picture in the Pumpkin Patch photo op in GROW
- Haunted House Lego build (and Halloween Lego raffle!) in BUILD
- Swim with sea monsters at the 2:30 screening of Luca, presented by Technology Alliance of Central New York and Presentation Concepts Corporation

The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) is a hands-on science and technology museum located in historic Armory Square in downtown Syracuse. The MOST is focused on dynamic science education that engages learners of all ages and abilities. It features 35,000 square feet of interactive permanent and traveling exhibits plus the state-of-the-art National Grid ExploraDome theatre. The museum operates numerous STEM education programs and community outreach events throughout the year. The MOST's mission is to provide informal science learning experiences that ignite curiosity, encourage discovery, and inspire investigation.
