Manlius, N.Y.- Metis Consulting Group, a woman-owned New York State Public Benefit Corporation specializing in custome software development and management advisory services, was recently certified by the Disability Inclusion Network as a Disability Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE). Metis is also certified as a "Best for the World" B Corp, scoring in the top 10 percent of B Corps worldwide in its most recent third-party certification audit.
David's Refuge, a local non-profit that provides respite, resources, and support to parents and guardians of children with special needs or life threatening medical conditions, is just one of the many organizations with whom Metis partners to fulfill their commitments as a public benefit corporation.
"Our entire team makes our business a force for good by continuously evolving as an inclusive and welcoming place for people of all abilities and backgrounds to thrive, and by putting our time, talents, and resources to work to make our community and world more equitable and just for all," said Metis president Aimee Koval. "In keeping with our social mission, we have welcomed David's Refuge to share our corporate headquarters over the coming year so that they may retain more resources to help families in need as we navigate the impact of Covid-19 on our community. Now is the time to come together and share what we have in creative ways that support each other and pave the way for a more secure and connected community going forward."
