As Central New York prepares for thousands of new technology and advanced manufacturing jobs driven by Micron Technology, ELITE Gaming is helping build the region’s future workforce starting with students today.
In downtown Syracuse, ELITE Gaming is more than an esports venue, it’s a workforce development engine connecting students to careers in STEM, technology, engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Founded in 2018, the organization blends gaming and STEM education to create engaging, skill-building experiences.
Recently, ELITE Gaming hosted Syracuse’s first professional international esports tournament, welcoming 48 teams from around the world and positioning the city as a destination for global esports competition.
ELITE Gaming uses esports as a high-interest entry point to connect students to future-ready careers. Through partnerships with school districts and institutions such as Syracuse University, SUNY Oswego, and Herkimer College, ELITE Gaming expands access to STEM pathways, especially for students not traditionally engaged. Through its nonprofit partner, the Elite Esports Organization, Inc., ELITE Gaming expands access to underserved districts.
Aligned with priorities led by CenterState CEO, ELITE's BrainPlay education and workforce development division provides hands-on experience in computer programming, 3D animation, drones, and digital media—building critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for today’s workforce. As Syracuse’s economy evolves, ELITE Gaming is helping ensure students are not just participants in that future, but prepared to lead it.
