Founded by Raelynn Lasonde, NextHealth AI is developing an AI-assisted healthcare administration platform designed to simplify prior authorizations, appeals and other insurance workflows. Lasonde's own experience navigating the complex network of approvals and authorizations required across healthcare and insurance systems inspired her to make the process easier for those working through it.

The platform is designed to take information from medical records and insurance documentation, structure it, help identify payer specific requirements, assist with coding, detect documentation gaps and prepare prior authorization or appeal materials for human review. Continuity is also being built into the design, meaning if an authorization turns into a request for additional information, the patient does not need to start the process from the beginning.

NextHealth AI currently has a working product environment under active development. Lasonde said she is focused on making the platform more reliable, strengthening security and compliance readiness, expanding authorization workflows, building integrations and getting structured pilot validation with healthcare organizations.

NextHealth AI is a client of CenterState's INSPYRE Innovation Hub. Lasonde said the INSPYRE community keeps her from the sometimes isolating work or being an entrepreneur.

"Having access to people who understand entrepreneurship and can connect me with resources, programs and other people in the ecosystem has helped me start thinking beyond just building the product and toward building an actual scalable company," Lasonde said.

Lasonde's next steps will be completing structured pilots, measuring how much time the platform saves, evaluating documentation quality and authorization outcomes, and using that feedback to continue improving the product.
