COR DEVELOPMENT AND SPONSORING PARTNERS TO HOST 2nd WINTERFEST AT THE SYRACUSE INNER HARBOR

EVENT TO BENEFIT HELPING HOUNDS DOG RESCUE

 

Winterfest at The Syracuse Inner Harbor to be held Sunday, February 20th, 2022

 

WHAT:

COR Development is teaming up with Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, Limp Lizard, Meier’s Creek Brewing Company at Iron Pier, OneGroup, QPK Design, Glazed & Confused, and Blueberries & Lace, to bring back Winterfest to The Syracuse Inner Harbor on Sunday, February 20th. The event will be held at the Iron Pier building (720 Van Rensselaer Street, Syracuse, NY 13204).

 

Winterfest was first celebrated in 1985 and has since expanded into the snow celebration that it now is. COR Development and partners are delighted to add more excitement to the 36th Annual Winterfest, and bring back by popular demand, the Human Dogsled Race, which will be held at the Syracuse Inner Harbor with all proceeds benefitting Helping Hounds Dog Rescue.

 

This year’s Inner Harbor Winterfest event includes:

             •      Food Trucks

•      Family Art Classes with Right Mind Syracuse

•      Human Dog Sled Race – This year there are two categories offered: Adult and Family/Kids Race (children must be 16 and under)

•      Craft Beers, Raffles & More with Meier’s Creek Brewing Company now open at Iron Pier

•      DJ with Live Music - Skip Clark with 92.1 The Wolf

 

All are welcome to participate in this event to help benefit the Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, whether it is an organization, family, or a group of friends.

WHEN:

Sunday, February 20th, 2022

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

 

Family/Kids Human Dogsled Team: 12:00pm - 1:00pm 

  • Consists of 4 people or less. 3 pullers or pushers max and 1 rider pulling a sled of the team’s own design.
  • Children must be 16 and under (parents are allowed to participate) 
  • The course is approximately 100ft
  • Teams compete in timed, two-team races, and the two fastest times in each category will run a second race.

ENTRY FEE:

Early Bird Special: $10 per team 

 

Adult Human Dogsled Team: 1:00pm - 4:00pm 

  • Consists of 5 people. 4 pullers or pushers and 1 rider pulling a sled of the team’s own design.
  • The course is approximately 100ft
  • Teams compete in timed, two-team races, and the two fastest times in each category will run a second race.

ENTRY FEE:

Early Bird Special: $60 per team ($12 a team member)

Event Day: $75 per team ($15 a team member) 

 

Prizes will be awarded for 3 fastest teams & most funds raised for charity
