C&S Companies Announces Leadership Transition

Posted on January 5, 2023

As part of a planned succession of the organization, C&S Companies announces several leadership transitions. John Camp, PE, has been named the new chief operating officer and president of C&S Worldwide Holdings. Aileen Maguire Meyer, PE, AICP has been promoted from vice president to president of C&S Engineers, Inc. Michael Hotaling, currently executive vice president, has stepped into the role of chief executive officer of C&S Worldwide Holdings.

The changes allow for continued growth and evolution of the organization, and an opportunity to provide new challenges for long-tenured teammates.

Camp is now president and chief operating officer of C&S Worldwide Holdings. Camp has been with C&S for 21 years and was previously responsible for managing the firm’s infrastructure and environmental work. In his new role, Camp will provide oversight and coordination of C&S’s engineering, construction, and operations groups. While working closely with business unit leaders across the country, Camp will also maintain and develop relationships with clients within the Central New York area. “C&S originated in Central New York, and we remain committed to serving the region while continuing to grow nationally—creating career and growth opportunities for those in the Syracuse area and throughout our network on national offices.” Camp is a licensed professional engineer in numerous states.

Maguire Meyer, in her new role as president of C&S Engineers, Inc., will be responsible for all strategic and tactical operations for nine diverse business units. She previously served as vice president, providing project leadership and driving implementation of corporate initiatives. Maguire Meyer has been in the consulting industry for 30 years including 22 years with C&S. During her tenure, she has had the opportunity to work in multiple C&S service areas including aviation, facilities, and transportation. “Engineering has been foundational to our success for the last 55 years. I’m excited to further develop the business and position us for growth and success well into the future.” Maguire Meyer is a licensed professional engineer in numerous states and a certified planner.

Hotaling has been with C&S for more than 30 years and previously served as executive vice president and leader of the firm’s aviation practice. Under his leadership, the aviation practice has grown into a nationwide leader in planning, design, construction, noise mitigation, sustainability and land use and economics services. In his new role, Hotaling will be responsible for managing strategic planning, leadership development, and operational oversight. He will continue to grow and diversify C&S, while embracing the challenges and opportunities of the future. “As I begin my new role as CEO, I am committed to advancing the innovation, efficiency, and growth of C&S, and I am excited to uncover new ways of delivering value for all of our clients.”

John Trimble, PE, will remain Chairman of the Board and will remain President of C&S’s growing construction and operations practices through mid-2023. He has served as the firm’s president and chief operations and/or executive officer for the past 10 years. “I appreciate Aileen, John and Michael stepping up to new leadership responsibilities in support of our planned succession and continued growth as a full-service project delivery and professional services team.”
