This feature of CEO Insights spotlights local companies that are “Economic Champions” because of their success in adding jobs; expanding their products or services; advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; gaining national recognition or contributing to the success of the region in special ways.

Regional accounting firm FustCharles has provided accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individual clients for more than 35 years. The firm has a mission to serve its community and support local businesses. Guided by those values, FustCharles underwent a rebrand and moved from Dewitt to downtown Syracuse as a part of the company’s NewFace.NewPlace. campaign.

FustCharles has its origins in downtown Syracuse, opening its first office at 250 Harrison Street. Their current space at 220 Warren Street competitively positions them to recruit talent by offering a hybrid work model and a modern office space in an urban environment.

FustCharles continues to experience growth in the region. In October 2023, The firm expanded with a new Rochester location. The Rochester office is a significant milestone in FustCharles’ growth and helps serve clients amid an evolving public accounting landscape. This expansion also aligns with FustCharles’ strategy to leverage the plentiful talent present in the region. The Firm is actively seeking dedicated accounting professionals to join its team and contribute to the company's ongoing success.

FustCharles efforts to provide a work environment that offers employees work/life integration, professional development, excellent benefits and a superior culture earned the firm a spot on Accounting Today’s 2023 List of Best Firms To Work For. The list identifies 100 companies across the country that excel in creating quality workplaces for employees. FustCharles also received this honor in 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2018.
