Oswego County Federal Credit Union

The Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU), chartered in 1975, has been dedicated to the Oswego County community for nearly 50 years. Over that time, the member owned organization has grown from a one room office with two employees to a company operating five full-service branches serving Oswego, Fulton, Mexico and most recently Phoenix.

OCFCU is a designated CDFI (community development financial institution) as well as a low income designated financial organization. It takes the responsibilities, requirements and expectations of meeting and maintaining these designations very seriously. OCFCU proudly serves the significant, economically challenged segments of the Oswego County population with an unwavering passion.

Over the past 12 months, OCFCU has grown its workforce 14%, opened a new branch in the village of Phoenix, and has grown loans outstanding by nearly 12%. In addition, OCFCU has reinvested CDFI grant dollars into the communities it serves by awarding $2,500 to eight local nonprofits in the county. In total, OCFCU has donated more than $75,000 to sponsor many community projects, ranging from neighborhood revitalization programs, such as the Fulton Block Builders and the Oswego Renaissance Association, to numerous CenterState CEO events and a myriad local events held in the county.  OCFCU also hosts a free Movies in Park series and a Gloves With Love program to provide winter items to those in need.

OCFCU’s mantra is “Our Members are Like Family,” and it lives that promise daily.
