This feature of CEO Insights spotlights local companies that are “Economic Champions” because of their success in adding jobs; expanding their products or services; advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; gaining national recognition or contributing to the success of the region in special ways.
Established in 2006, the Wireless Business Group, LLC (WBG) works with business accounts of all sizes including law firms, universities, municipalities and CenterState CEO. WBG helps simplify the often confusing and frustrating world of cellular. From account reviews and procuring equipment to employee technical support, WBG offers a wide range of customized services. The business is built around the idea of helping organizations lacking internal expertise or bandwidth to efficiently and effectively manage their wireless services.
The company is managed by its two founding partners, Sam Serianni and Tom Huegel. Based in Syracuse, WBG was awarded the “Small Business of the Year” by CenterState CEO in 2022. 2026 marks WBG’s 20th anniversary serving the Central New York community.
Over the past 20 years, WBG has provided its customers a positive return on investment (ROI) by limiting the time customers spend managing their accounts and working to reduce customers’ expenses. Last year, WBG recorded nearly 10,000 transactions for their customers, provided nearly 4,500 hours of support and saved clients a collective $537,000. The savings were derived from carrier credits, recommended plan changes and “zero use” cancellations, among other things.
At the end of the day, WBG customers say it best:
“I wish that all the companies that I deal with would model themselves after your company.”
“WBG is easily on the top shelf of all our vendors. Thank you all for what you do, as well as you do it.”
