AmeriCU wins two industry awards

Posted on May 17, 2021

ROME, NY – MAY 11, 2021: AmeriCU has won two Diamond Awards from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council.

CUNA’s annual Diamond Awards aim to recognize outstanding achievements in the credit union industry. AmeriCU won in the ‘Multifaceted’ and ‘Direct Mail – Single or Series’ categories. The credit union was previously recognized in 2019 in the ‘Ongoing Event’ category for Mountainfest.

“Our goal during the pandemic was to create products and offerings that would benefit every community we serve,” said Leslie Pasco, AmeriCU’s Vice President of Marketing. “We were grateful that we could not only recognize our student members who did not have the typical celebrations they expected but could also offer our members a savings solution during these uncertain times.”

The multifaceted campaign honored graduating seniors on Facebook after an abrupt end to their school year. Parents or guardians sent in pictures of their students which were then featured in slideshow videos during the month of June. The credit union also gave away $1,000 in Amazon gift cards to five entrants.

The direct mail campaign gave members an opportunity to free up funds, offering a lower monthly payment on their auto loan if they refinanced with AmeriCU. The campaign highlighted the member’s estimated savings in the first year, encouraging them to make the switch.
