Terakeet Named One of the 2020 Best Workplaces in New York by Great Place to Work® and Fortune

Posted on July 15, 2020

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (July 16, 2020) – Great Place to Work® and Fortune have honored Terakeet as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces in New York. The ranking considered nearly 45,000 employee surveys in the New York State or the tri-state/New York Metro Statistical Area. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Terakeet took the No. 5 spot on this year’s list. The last time Terakeet made this prestigious list was in 2017 when they placed 22d.

Lynn Fraas, Chief People Office remarked, “Terakeet is proud to be recognized by our people for creating one of the best workplaces in New York. We work hard to continually improve and build upon our people strategy. Maintaining the health and happiness of our employees both in New York and across the U.S. became even more critical alongside the spread of COVID-19. We’ve been reevaluating our hiring and business practices to align with the landmark changes in our industry and will continue to strive to make Terakeet a “best place to work” as that concept evolves - our momentum is not stopping!”

The Best Workplaces in New York stand out for excelling in one of the nation’s most competitive marketplaces. Terakeet has been able to see the immediate impact of its work in the area of career development translated into better scores in the annual survey administered by Great Places to Work, alongside recognition across a variety of local, regional, and national employment awards this past year.

“Best workplaces like Terakeet have built powerful foundations of trust and human connection to help carry their organizations through stressful and uncertain times, especially now,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “This gives companies on this list a powerful opportunity not just to do well for their people, but to do well for their businesses and for New York during these challenging times.”

The Best Workplaces in New York is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations.
